AMHERST, OH – The Nord Family Foundation is excited to announce the appointment of Tina Kimbrough as the new Executive Director. Ms. Kimbrough has served as the Co-Interim Executive Director since 2022 and previously as a program officer and brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the foundation’s mission, vision and values.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Ms. Kimbrough said, "I am truly honored to be part of such a dynamic and innovative organization. The opportunity to contribute my skills and expertise to drive organizational growth is incredibly exciting. I am eager to continue collaborating with the thoughtful and engaged family and the talented team at the Nord Family Foundation. Ms. Kimbrough is a native of Detroit, Michigan and holds a strong commitment to equity and access, aligning perfectly with the Nord Family Foundation's mission to advance equity, expand access to opportunity, and foster thriving and inclusive communities.

Ms. Kimbrough’s dedication to philanthropy extends beyond her role at the Nord Family Foundation. She actively serves on Philanthropy Ohio's Education Steering Committee, Exponent Philanthropy's Programs and Services Committee, and the PEAK Grantmaking Midwest Leadership Team. She is deeply committed to working with all stakeholders in an effort to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Currently, Ms. Kimbrough is on maternity leave and will return to the office on October 1. In the meantime, Ann Kiernozek remains the Co-Interim Executive Director of Administration and Nick Turner is operating as the Co-Interim Director of Programs.

The Nord Family Foundation is a successor to the charitable trust originally established by Walter G. Nord in 1952. The predecessor organization contributed more than $12 million to a variety of charitable causes between 1953 and 1988, primarily in Lorain County, Ohio. The Nord Family Foundation has contributed more than $159 million to nonprofit organizations in northeast Ohio and selected geographic areas of family interest.
