Elyria apartments planned for homeless open to positive reviews

Early reviews from residents living in the Bridge Pointe Commons in Elyria have been positive.

The recently completed 62-apartment complex located at 338 E. Bridge St. provides services-enriched housing for individuals struggling with homelessness.

A similar complex, known as Broadway Commons, is planned for Lorain.

Plans call for that complex to be built at the corner of 21st Street and Broadway with construction expected to begin next summer, according to Judi Engel, a spokesperson for Emerald Development Economic Network (EDEN), one of the developers of Bridge Pointe as well as Broadway Commons.
