The Nord Family Foundation awards $3,393,131 at its February 2022 Board Meeting

At the February 26, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting, $3,393,131 in grants was approved, to be disbursed in Lorain County, Ohio; Cuyahoga County, Ohio; Columbia, South Carolina; Metro Denver, Colorado; Boston, Massachusetts; Penn Yan, New York. Fifty other actions totaling $98,464.56 were also ratified at the meeting, bringing the total grants authorized in this round to $3,491,595.56. A complete list of the grants authorized by the Trustees at this meeting can be found below. The nonprofit organizations serve in the fields of arts & culture, civic affairs, education, and health & social services.

The Nord Family Foundation is a successor to the charitable trust established by Walter G. Nord in 1952. The predecessor organization contributed more than $12 million to a variety of charitable causes between 1953 and 1988, primarily in Lorain County, Ohio. Since this time The Nord Family Foundation has contributed more than $140 million to nonprofit organizations in northern Ohio and selected geographic areas of family interest.
